HypnoBirthing™
Taught by a certified HypnoBirthing® instructor, this series of classes teaches a unique method of relaxed, natural childbirth education, enhanced by self-hypnosis techniques. HypnoBirthing® provides the missing link that allows women to use their natural instincts to bring about a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing. Emphasis is placed on pregnancy and childbirth, as well as on pre-birth parenting and the consciousness of the pre-born baby. This class is taught in a series and usually is scheduled for 4-5 weeks with each class lasting 3 hours each.
Preparing for a Hospital Birth
Having a fantastic birth experience in a hospital is possible! This seven hour class will provide you with
third trimester information, labor & delivery knowledge, breathing and coping techniques, tips for
partners/support person, and medication and analgesia information—everything needed to make
informed choices.
This class is limited to four (4) mothers/partners to ensure each participant can ask
questions and get the most out of this class.
Class is $95 for mother and her partner/helper.
The Birth of Your Child
A four-session group class series
This class prepares you for the birth of your baby using the best practices from many of the well-known styles of childbirth education. You will learn the anatomy and physiology of birth (vaginal and cesarean), methods and techniques to help labor progress and to relax during labor and delivery, the general policies and practices that are in place in a hospital setting, and how to have a birth experience that is fulfilling to you and your partner. This class is supplemented with a manual, hand-outs and videos and each class is 2 to 2.5 hours long.
One Day Childbirth Refresher
For couples who have already had a baby and just want a quick reminder about what to expect in the hospital during labor, this is a perfect class. We review the basics of labor and birth, comfort measures, what to expect in the hospital, and postpartum recovery.
Empowered Birth with an Epidural
Natural childbirth isn't your thing? No worries! You can have an informed, empowered birth when you are certain you will use an epidural during labor! Learn what to expect during labor and what happens inside your body, coping methods to use in early labor, and what you can do to help your body work during labor.
VBAC Childbirth Education
Planning a Vaginal Birth after a Cesarean Section can be a difficult, emotional decision. Share in this experience with other mothers who are in the same place. Learn what to expect as you go into labor and what you can do during labor to help your body do its work. Discuss your fears and your hopes about having a vaginal childbirth.
